Founded in Bristol in 2016, Lost and Grounded specialise in beers derived from Belgian and German brewing customs. Their ethos is based around the keywords Humble, Inclusive, Clever and Raw. Technically, their brewing incorporates the German technique of biological acidification, in which lactic acid is deliberately propagated in the brewhouse as a means of adjusting the pH of the water during brewing. As well as being an ideal way to counter Bristol's alkaline water, this also means that Lost and Grounded's beers are literally pervaded by German brewing tradition.
